Student Drop-off and Pick-up

East Elementary School has created a color-coded map to assist parents with the drop-off and pick-up of students. It is recommended that all parents review the map to minimize confusion when entering East Elementary. Parent Drop-off   Entrances to the building will open at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The entrances will open at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesdays. Parents will enter East Elementary from the middle drive at SE Trilein Drive and SE Second Street (the north and south drives will be blocked by traffic cones). Parents will head south and follow the perimeter of the parking lot, dropping students at the northwest entrance, before exiting back onto SE Trilein Drive.  Please pull forward as much as possible in order to allow for maximum number of students to exit vehicles. Please stay in a single file line while in all areas of the parking lot. Please have your child ready to exit the vehicle (on passenger side) when reaching the drop off area to ease the flow of traffic. All students will be directed to the gym until the start of the school day. The south entrance is for walkers only.  Students picked up by car will exit from the northwest doors (north end of parking lot) once school is dismissed. Do no leave your vehicle unattended unless in a designated parking spot.

Students Riding The Bus

• Students riding the bus will enter and exit through the south doors.
• The school bus and day care bus drop-off and pick-up zones are on the corner of SE Third Street and SE Trilein Drive. The buses will pull up to the curb on the south side of the building (SE Third Street) to drop-off and pick-up students. 

Students Riding Their Bikes to School

• Students riding a bike to school may park in the bike racks located near the south doors. Students will enter through the south doors and will be directed to the gym until the start of the school.

Parent Pick-Up

• Students picked up by car (excluding bus and day care riders) will exit the school from the west doors.
• Students walking home will exit the south doors.
• If you would like to walk to meet your child exiting the building, please park your car in a designated stall in the lot and use the sidewalk. Please do not walk through parking lot/traffic areas. Parents may wait outside the south doors.

Student safety is our priority. Our student day concludes at 2:55 p.m. Thus, students will likely not exit the building until nearly 3:00 p.m. or shortly after. Thank you, in advance, for your patience.  Should your dismissal plans change, please inform your child's teacher prior to 2:00 p.m.
